SEND Information Report
At The Bramble Academy we strive to achieve the highest standards to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We promote an inclusive educational environment in which we support and encourage all pupils to reach their potential.
A child is considered to have a special educational need when provision is made, or is needed to be made, that is different from, or additional to, the provision made available to all pupils.
The kinds of special educational needs and disabilities provided for include:
- Communication and Interaction – including Autism Spectrum Conditions or Speech and Language Difficulties
- Cognition and Learning – including Dyslexia, Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Difficulties – including ADHD, attachment disorders and mental health needs
- Sensory and/or physical needs – including hearing or visual impairment and motor skill difficulties
Quality teaching is vital when providing for special educational needs. However, for some children, there are occasions when further additional support may be needed to help them achieve their targets. In order to do this, steps may be taken to support young people through their learning journey.
Our SEND Information Report below details the different types of support The Bramble Academy offers and how to communicate any concerns you may have about your child.
